The evolved form learns an exclusive move during the event window — typically a strong move that defines a new PvE or PvP niche (e.g. Frenzy Plant on Venusaur, Meteor Mash on Metagross).
After the event, the exclusive move can be unlocked via Elite Charged TM. Niantic re-releases CDs during December Recap weekends for a second shot at missed shinies.
